Information and Guidelines
The iiE is looking for workshop leaders to deliver two-hour workshops on the afternoon of Friday, November 4th. Workshops should provide practical knowledge, approaches, and/or tools that are of potential interest to a substantial set of education professionals (potentially including teachers, instructional designers, teacher educators, administrators, learning specialists in non-profit or for-profit organizations, or others). There will be an honorarium of $200 for leaders of workshops. (Workshop co-leaders may split the honorarium.) The workshop submission form can be found here.
• Workshop sessions are two hours long. Each workshop will be scheduled for Friday, November 4th, 2016 from 1:30-3:30pm OR 4:00-6:00pm.
• Workshops should provide practical knowledge, approaches, and/or tools that are of potential interest to a substantial set of education professionals (potentially including teachers, instructional designers, teacher educators, administrators, learning specialists in non-profit or for-profit organizations, or others).
• At least half of the workshop should be spent engaging participants in hands-on exercises, discussion, design, or other activities.
• Each workshop should provide useful take-away materials and/or information, which can be in the form of handouts, websites, software, etc.
• Each workshop room will be equipped with a data projector and wifi access. Flip-charts, markers, sticky notes, and other materials can be made available upon request.
• Participants can be requested to bring their own laptops and/or mobile devices, as appropriate.
Workshop proposals will be reviewed by the iiE Gathering organizers and are subject to approval. Workshop proposals must be submitted by September 2nd, 2016. Workshop leaders will be notified by September 9th regarding acceptance.
