The 2016 Ann Arbor Gathering unfolded over four days, June 22-25.
Theme: “Fail Better”
“Fail fast” has become a mantra of the design and high-tech world, but not all failures are created equal. During this Gathering we explored what makes a “good failure,” how can we become better at failing well, and how we can continue learning a lot from our failures.
Highlights
This Gathering comprised category-busting workshops, a FailureSlam, unique projects, and most of all, great people. Images taken during the event can be seen on our Facebook page.
Common Read
Our “common read” for this Gathering was Stuart Firestein’s book, Failure: Why Science Is So Successful. See the collaborative commentary by the iiE community, or check out hypothes.is and view our community annotations of an excerpt from the book.
